Portfolio Contents—In this exact order!

  1. Letter of introduction
  2. Essay #3—including:
    • The final revision, fully developed and with revised works-cited page
    • Workshop draft (the one your peers critiqued)
    • Rough (exploratory) drafts, notes, or freewrites on central theme
    • Typed revision plan
  3. A revision of essay #1 or #2—including:
    • The final revision, fully developed and with revised works-cited page
    • The instructor-reviewed copy along with my evaluation sheet and comments
    • Workshop draft (the one your peers critiqued)
    • Rough (exploratory) drafts, notes, or freewrites on central theme
    • Typed revision plan
  4. Any revised postings to discussion board or revised in-class writing.

Notes:

  • Remember—12 pages revised writing minimum.
  • Please do NOT staple things together.
  • Take pride and be professional in your portfolio presentation.
  • Please remember that I will have many portfolios to carry to and from campus. Choose a folder or manila envelope that is secure and large enough for the contents of your portfolio, but not so large as to be unwieldy or unduly heavy. Make sure your name and section number are on the front of the folder or envelope. Do NOT use a 3-ring notebook for your portfolio.
